We stayed here for one night as passing through. What a great place to stay. The new owners, Danny and Delores couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Very easy check-in/out. Beautiful room with loads of space, everything we needed in the room was there, tea/coffee/milk/sugar/kettle, soap, shower cap, shower gel etc. Breakfast was excellent, well cooked and presented, waitress was lovely at breakfast. Just returned from a 7 night stay at the Southbank Townhouse. Danny and Delores were welcoming from the moment we arrived and were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The breakfasts were exceptional - high quality fresh produce and plenty of choice. On our last morning we didn’t have time for breakfast so we were given a lovely pack up each for our journey home. We had 3 rooms which we located together, one of which had a seating area we could gather in. Short walk into Torquay where we had some lovely meals. I can highly recommend Twenty1, On the Rocks and Amici in Torquay, Babacombe Bay hotel cafe in Babacombe and The Drum Inn Cockington. Advanced bookings needed to guarantee tables. As new owners Danny and Delores are in their first season and keen to gather feedback on what more they can do to improve the hotel.
